A 102 mile tributary of the larger Snake River, the Boise River flows from the rugged Sawtooth Wilderness down through the Treasure Valley providing the backbone to our hometown of Boise, Idaho.
Perhaps most famous outside of Idaho for its fishing and playful class III-IV whitewater, Boise locals know it as the best way to cool off in the hot summertime. In fact, floating the Boise River is something that many in the area look forward to each summer (AP employees included!).
If you’re looking to step your whitewater game up, look no further than the North Fork of the Boise for some epic mountain views and sweet class IV rapids. Fly fishers and spin fishers alike flock to this river due to its proximity to the city and awesome rainbow trout and steelhead prospects.
